Happy Birthday to Boo!

Just dropping in this morning to share a card with you that I made for the Market Street Stamps birthday bash.  It is their one year anniversary and they are having lot of fun things going on over there.  My sister, a close friend, and my daughter all have a birthday this next week so I made a couple of these ghost cards.  The sweet face on this ghost is soo fun!  I  hope you enjoy!

"Fang" You Very Much

This is my second entry for this weeks CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  I am having so much fun making Halloween cards I couldn't help it!  You have to make a Halloween card without using orange. I needed to highlight this sweet bat from the 'Sweet Spooks' stamp set from Market Street Stamps.  He is so fun!  I used watercolor pencils to color him in(one of these days I will try some copics!).  Hope you're having a fantastic fall!

Trick or Treat!

It's been a few weeks since I played along in a CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  This week you have to create a Halloween card without using orange.  I love orange and black for Halloween but this year I have been really drawn to the purple and black combination.  I used the 'Sweet Spooks' stamp set from MSS and had a lot of fun with this sweet skull.  Ha that is funny that I'm calling a skull sweet!  Anyway, I created a little window for the skeleton to sit in and embossed with a Provocraft folder.  The twine is from The Twinery (I'm so excited because the scrapbooking store that I work for is going to start stocking this twine!  Woohoo!).  Hope you have a spooky day!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Just making a quick stop again today to share another card.  I'm starting to get in the Christmas cardmaking spirit!  When I saw this week's challenge over at  Wee Memories I knew I had to play along, a few times.  I created this christmas card using my Silhouette and some fantastic Stampin' Up paper.  I used a Provocraft embossing folder for the background and added some pearls and I was done!  Thanks for stopping by!

Market Street Stamps Block Party

Is it time to party again?  It is when it is the one year anniversary for Market Street Stamps!  They are having a special block party and since I just got my Sweet Spooks stamp set I had to make a card with all of the cute characters!  I had so much fun with this card!  I did a lot of stamping, embossing and glittering.  I wish you could see all of the detail in one shot but I got the detail in other pictures.  I am also entering this card in this week's challenge over at Wee Memories.  The theme this week is Holiday Madness.  You can enter any holiday card!  Hope you enjoy!

I used Versamark and the sentiments from the stamp set to give a pattern to the moon and then I glittered the edges.  The swirls on the bat are from the Gone Campin' stamp set.

I stamped the spider web and spider and then embossed with glittered embossing powder.  I paper pieced the body of the spider and glittered her cheeks.  For the sentiment I used the argyle stamp from the Sweet Spooks set and stamped it with Versamark.  I then embossed the sentiment in white.  I purposely left it messy because I thought it made it look more distressed.

I stamped the ghost and then used the polka dots and heart from the Gone Campin' stamp set.  Then I used the dashed line from Sweet Spooks to add a little more interest.  It's hard to see but the ghost's cheeks are glittered.  I think I will be cleaning up glitter for a long time!  Hop  on over and take a look at all of the other great cards!

Operations Julie's Smile

Welcome all of you hoppers!  Thank you for joining in on the fun to help the sweet Julie Ranae!  You should have arrived from Alison Spellman's fabulous blog.  If you got lost along the way (which is easy to do, this is a BIG blog hop!) head back to Sweet Stamp Shop's Blog.  What is Operation Julie's Smile you ask.  Well here is all of the info you need to help out Julie AND be eligible to win some awesome prizes.

The creative blogging community is coming together this weekend to help one of our friends, Julie Ranae.  You may know her as the Design Team Coordinator for many wonderful companies from bakers twine, die cuts, rubber stamps and more.  What many people don’t know about Julie Ranae is that she has had some pretty major dental surgeries in her lifetime due to medication she had to take as a child.  It was in her plans to think about having all of her teeth  replaced at some point in the next 5 years, a decision that was pretty easy to plan out.  But then it happened…she chipped her front teeth on a weekend a month ago. The dentist told her there was no way to save them & that it was his recommendation that she give in and have them all her teeth removed soon, but for that day, they needed to get her front teeth done so her gums could begin to heal. He said he would 'work out payments with her to have ALL this work done...but when she called to make her appt for the first step of impressions, they told her the amount of money that was needed and that the 'payments' applied only to the two teeth that were extracted that day. Her husband Paul was with her & that too, was his understanding as well. So this is how she has found herself in this situation…Needing at least $4000 to get started and another $3000 to finish the process…a total of $7000.

Nicole Rixon, owner of Sweet Stamp Shop put together this benefit after finding out about this situation and before Julie Ranae knew it, it took flight!  Because she is an event organizer by trade, she has taken on the job of organizing all of the blogs in this hop as her way of ‘working overtime’ for what she needs, the same as if she were able to work overtime at an outside job to pay for the work to be done.  It is the goal of all of these generous friends & sponsors to help make this situation more do-able for our friend so that she can share a brand new smile with all of us soon.  If there is anything you can do to help with a financial donation, there is a donation button ready for you to click on my sidebar.  Any amount is appreciated and ALL DONATIONS will be eligible for prizes from our sponsor pool of over $2500. Holy Cow that is a lot of prizes to give away!

*Prizes will be drawn for the following*
1. For blog comments left
    2. From Paypal donation list
3. For blog hop hosts

We have a lot of blogs in this hop but don't worry you have all weekend to make comments!  The hop will last from Friday Oct. 7th 8:00am EST until Sunday Oct. 9th 11:59pm EST.

I can't imagine what it must be like to not have your front teeth!  When I first heard this story I knew I wanted to help.  Julie has always been very supportive of me and offered words of encouragement when I was frustrated.  If anyone deserves our help it is her.  Okay, enough with all of my talking(writing).  I figured since the Sweet Stamp Shop was sponsoring this hop that I would use some of their fantastic stamps!  When I saw this stamp set I knew I HAD to have it!  So many possibilities!  I wanted to make the smaller gnomes peeking out from behind the bigger gnome so I did a little masking.  I paper pieced all of the clothes on the gnomes and the mushrooms.  I cut out the frame with my Silhouette.  The girl's dress is patterned paper from Echo Park and the rest is from My Mind's Eye.  I then used the cute border stamp to frame the sentiment and to finish it off.

Her is a closer look.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope all of you are having fun seeing these great projects and any donation you can give to help Julie would be greatly appreciated!  Now head on over to Elizabeth Tonkins-Agea's blog!  Happy hopping!

World Card Making Day Part 2

I'm back for another post of a few of the cards that I have made.  I have had these poinsettias hanging around in my stash for a few years now and I decided that now was the perfect time to use them!  Instead of the brads they came with I put a few small pearls in each one.  The patterned paper is from Echo Park and Basic Grey.

I did a lot of embossing on this card.  I embossed the sentiment, frame, and edges in silver(it shows up white in the picture but it's silver) and then I die cute the snowflake and added some ribbon.  Easy Peasy!

Okay enough with the Christmas cards, it's time to celebrate!   Heehee.  I loved  die cutting these candles and using some stickles on the flames!  I love sparkle! The tag was cut with my Silhouette.  I wish I could tell you where I got that ribbon. I would buy more myself if I knew, it's so pretty!

I had to do a card with more sparkle!  I was in a sparkly mood!  I die cut this heel and the tags with my Silhouette.   The sentiment is from PTI and I embossed it in silver.

Well I have to run!  So many cards to make, so little time!  I hope you are enjoying your creative day!

World Card Making Day!!!

Welcome to my post for World Card Making day!  If you want to see the list of all the participants click on the logo on my sidebar.  Well my plans for World Card Making Day have changed.  I found out yesterday that I have to work most of the day.  Boo!   I had planned on making cards with my daughter most of the day and posting the fun cards that we created.  I still plan to make cards today but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to post them.  Here are some cards that I made in preparation for the blog hop...

For this reindeer card I pulled out my trusty Silhouette.  I cut out the reindeer and then stamped it with VersaMark and embossed it.  I stamped the background with a text stamp in VersaMark and stamped some swirls in a green.  I then took the brads and stamped gold ink on them and embossed them with clear embossing powder to seal the gold in.  A little distressing and I was done!

This next card is a very CAS card.  I cut out the wreath with my Silhouette, added a few Stickles for the berries.  The Stampin' Up sentiment is embossed and I added a few pearls and ribbon to finish it off.

I can't wait to see what everyone has created!  There are some really talented ladies on the list for the blog hop!   I hope everyone has a great day getting crafty!  Happy World Card Making Day!
