Trigger Tuesday-Fall is in the Bag

Good evening everyone!  When I saw the image below for this week's Trigger Tuesday over at Moxie Fab World I had to play along.  This is my first time playing.  I have to tell you that I am a little intimidated, there are always so many fantastic projects entered for all of the different challenges!  But I thought that I should rise to the challenge!  So here is the image....

And here is my card.

I chose to pull out some of the colors from the bag and the diagonal circles.  I used the Grunge Me stamp set from PTI to create the pattern.   I created a one layer card (which is hard for me to do!) because I realized that I have created so many bulky cards that I have to hand deliver that I needed to replenish the  cards that I could mail in my stash! LOL!  I hope everyone's having a great weekend!  Ta ta for now!

Playing tag with CAS-ual Fridays

I'm back to share another tag I made last night.  I've had this Hero Arts stamp since last year and haven't had a chance to ink it up.  I think this is such a beautiful image!  The hardest part about entering this tag into the CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week was photographing it.  I embossed the image and so it is very shiny.  It was very difficult to take a picture of it without getting any glare on it.  I love using blue and silver for Christmas and I thought this stamp was perfect for it.  Hope you enjoy!

Tag You're It

It's time for me to play along this week at CAS-ual Fridays!  It feels like forever since I've joined in so I had to take advantage of the fun theme this week.  We had to use a tag.  It could be a tag attached to a card or a tag by itself.   So here is what I created...

I used some Cosmo Cricket Christmas paper to cut out this fun Christmas tree with my Silhouette.  Then I spruced it up a bit with some glitter pearls.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up and the twine is from The Twinery.  I love creating tags!  They are even faster than cards and since I am an instant gratification girl I enjoy how fast they come together!  Thanks for stopping by!

The Play Date Cafe Color Splash

Good afternoon everyone!  I am here to share a card I made for the current challenge at The Play Date Cafe. It is the color splash challenge this week, my favorite of their challenges!  I got this background stamp not long ago from Market Street Stamps and I haven't had a chance to ink it up yet.  I thought it would go well with the challenge this week and makes a perfect girlie birthday card.  I added a fun crepe paper flower for that pop of orange and there you have it!  Thanks for stopping by!

DeNami Designs November Blog Hop

DeNami November Blog Hop

Good morning everyone!  I am excited to be joining in this month's blog hop.  The challenge this month is to make anything but a card.  If you came here from Kristy's Blog then you're in the right place.  If you got lost along the way you can get a full list of participants at The DeNami blog.  A little while ago my friend gave me a few of these paper bags and said she was curious to see how I would use them.  I had intended to use them on a card but when the theme for this blog hop came up I thought they would work perfectly for a gift card holder.  My son has a male teacher this year so I can't give him my standard gift of handmade cards.  I think a gift card will work well instead (I just hope this holder isn't too girlie)!  I will probably attach it to a plate of cookies for a little extra holiday cheer!  I pulled out my Ornamental Vine and Water Lily stamps to spruce up the bag.  When I was looking at the Water Lily stamp I was wondering if I could make it a poinsettia.  I pulled out my Stamp-a-majig and went to work...

And this is how it turned out.  I embossed the Ornamental Vine on the bag and on four of the poinsettia leaves to give it a little bit of shimmer.

This is how I did it.  I stamped them back to back.

Then I cut out two masks to cover the first two images.

This is how it looks after stamping to complete the circle.

I cut out the center petal twice...

And glued it to the stamped image.

If you want to emboss the petals you need to cut out four to glue to the main image.  I was pleased with how it turned out.  I love being able to find a way to use a stamp in multiple ways.  More bang for your buck!

Thanks for stopping by! Now you are off to Karen's blog.  Happy hopping!
