Happy Fall!

I'm back with another card for the Market Street Stamps Block Party!  I have been having so much fun with the Autumn Greetings stamp set!  This time around I used the adorable scarecrow.  I have been wanting to create this card for awhile now and was finally able to sit down and start creating.  I paper pieced the scarecrow with some fabulous paper from My Minds Eye and then I took raffia and cut fringe to stick out of the scarecrows clothes.  I am so pleased with how this little guy turned out!  I love all of the detail on this stamp and it stamps so well!  It is still hot over here in Boise but I hope everyone else is enjoying great fall weather!  Maybe if I continue to create fall cards the weather will follow!  Happy Fall!

Market Street Stamps Block Party!!

Are you ready to party?  I know I am!  It is time for the Market Street Stamps Block Party!  I created this card last night just for fun and then when I got up this morning I saw that it was time for the block party, what perfect timing!  This card took a little time to create but I had so much fun doing it that it didn't matter!  I started by cutting out the truck and the tags with my Silhouette.  The background paper is from We R Memory Keepers.  On this card it made me think of a sunset.  I stamped the pumpkins on some great patterned paper from My Mind's Eye and then paper pieced them.  The stems were stamped on kraft cardstock and then I inked the leaves with some green ink.  I then took some jute and pulled it apart to get the look of hay in the bed of the truck.  I stamped the greeting on the tag, inked it up, added some brads, and there you have it! I hope you enjoy it!

Here is a closer look at the "hay" and the pumpkins.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

I can't believe it is already the end of September and it's time for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!  The picture this month is really cool!  I chose to pick up the stripes in my card and a few of the colors as well.  There are really quite a few ways that you could go with this, if only I had the time to make a bunch of cards!  I chose to go with a one layer CAS card this month.  Hope you enjoy.  Thanks for stopping by!  I can't wait to see what everyone else created!

CAS-ual Fridays Mini Card Challenge

I am back with my card for this weeks CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  This week we are supposed to create a mini card that is no larger than 4x4.  I LOVE to do mini cards!  Sometimes I just prefer working on a smaller canvas.  I have had this stamp set from Practicing Creativity for a little while and haven't made a card with it yet.  I decided I wanted to use a go with a black, white, and red color scheme because it really makes the red pop!  I did a white on white mat and then stamped the balloon on both white pieces of paper.  I paper pieced the red zigzags and pop dotted the smaller white square.  The finished card is 3.5x3.5.  Thanks for stopping by!

Painting the Town with Market Street Stamps!

Good morning everyone!  I am here to paint the town this morning!  Market Street Stamps is having a color challenge and I love the great fall colors that they chose!  I pulled out my Autumn Greetings stamp set and was trying to decide what I was going to do with my card when I thought it might be fun to create a background with all of the sentiments.  After a little fussing with the stamps I was able to use just about all of the great sentiments that this awesome set has to offer!  I then took out the Gone Campin' stamp set and used the little heart (I love that little heart!) to fill in a few gaps.  After paper piecing the pumpkins and distressing all of the edges I had a fun fall card!  There is still a little bit of time so hop on over to their site and play along!

Thankful For You

Just dropping in to share a card that I made for the latest CAS-ual Fridays challenge.  This weeks theme is Falling to Pieces.  You have to paper piece something on your card and use a fall theme.  I knew exactly which stamps I wanted to use!  I pulled out my Autumn Greetings  stamp set from Market Street Stamps!  I got this in the mail last week and couldn't wait to use it!  I had an idea to make a card you could give your special someone and the faces for the pumpkin were perfect.  I paper pieced the pumpkins then pulled out my Gone Campin' stamp set and used one of the adorable little hearts.  A punch from EK Success made the leaves and  I pulled out a ribbon from my stash then added a button.  Simple as 123!  Hope you enjoy!

When I saw the theme for this months blog hop I knew exactly what I wanted to do!  I love this stamp with all of the cupcakes on it!  I decided to glitter the tops of them and make it a girlie birthday card!  I created the rectangle in the middle using my Silhouette added a little bit of baker's twine and there you go!

 Gotta love sparkle!!

Where the Heart is

Good morning!  Well it's morning where I am ;)  This week two of my favorite challenge blogs seem to be overlapping.  CAS-ual Fridays and The Play Date Cafe are both using the colors black, white, and red!  I love that color combination.  There is a catch, though.  At CAS-ual Fridays your card needs to be inspired by a book.  One of my all time favorite books is "Where the Heart Is" by Billie Letts.  I remember where I was when I finished reading it because I was so sad that I was done.  I really connected with those characters.  I turned to my Silhouette yet again for a die cut image of a house.  I embossed the background with hearts and punched out a heart to put on the door.  I added a little glossy accents to the heart to make it pop a little bit.  I really enjoyed making this card and I already know who I'm giving it to!  That's a plus!  Well enjoy your day!
